Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you charge? What forms of payments do you accept?
I charge $200 hourly, but am pretty fast! There are a lot of variables that go into the pricing of a tattoo, such as size, detail, color or blackwork, and placement. I accept Venmo, Cashapp, and good old fashioned cash. If you’re working with a budget I’m always happy to chat and see how we can make something awesome work within your means!
Can I use numbing cream for my appointment?
Generally speaking, I’d recommend to stay away from numbing cream if your tattoo session is estimated to take longer that 2 hours. This is because the cream will wear off and your body won’t have been able to build the necessary endorphins to tolerate the pain. Once the cream wears off, it will hurt even more than if you hadn’t applied it, which totally sucks. If your tattoo is estimated to take less than 2 hours, please check in with me first as some creams have ingredients that alter the texture of your skin and cannot be tattooed over. Lidocaine based creams are the only ones I recommend, but please ask for my consent before application. Additionally, I’m always happy to use Bactine on broken skin (at least once the linework is finished) and that can take the edge off for a little while.
Can I see the design before I come in?
While I understand the anticipation, I’ll only show you the design when you arrive at your appointment date. This is for a few reasons-number one, I have a busy schedule and typically only have time to draw your design the day before or day of. Work life balance, ya know? Additionally, if small changes need to be made it’s way easier to just talk about that in person than going back and forth via email about every little detail. I always ask my clients to be comfortable with a fair amount of creative freedom, so before you book with me, make sure you really like my work!
Can I bring guests with me to my appointment?
I request that you come alone to your appointment. I work out of a smaller space, and the less people in the space the easier it is for me to concentrate. If you’re a super anxious person, check in with me, but your guest will not be allowed to come hang out with us in my station, they’re going to need to hang out in the lobby and they might get pretty bored. I want to make sure all of my guests are as comfortable and feel as safe as possible and I promise I am committed to providing excellent service at your appointment!
Can I make changes to a flash design if I claim it?
I draw those designs as I intent to tattoo them, so no changes will be made to flash pieces. If you want a similar custom piece, I’m usually super open to that! Typically I’d say that if you like a flash design but want to make changes to it, do not claim that flash piece because I only tattoo my flash once and other people might want that design as is. Just reach out to see if we can do something similar and I'll most likely be down!
